Overview[]
A wire lance is a new weapon developed for this game and such did not exist in any past Phantasy Star games. Essentially they are twin blades with retractable cables on them. They can be thrown and then recovered again, but are not throwing knives. Instead they are used to slash and then grab enemies. Some photon arts allow the user to swing and hurl caught targets into other enemies and other arts send the user hurtling into the enemy. It allows for a little bit of range and is fairly fast too. It should be known though that you shouldn't expect to be able to move objects larger than yourself with this and it does play havok with other players' ability to target enemies.
